It’s wedding season and I can’t stop reading and looking at all the things on the internets. So I’ve gathered my favorite posts of the week for all your wedding needs. Enjoy this round-up of wedding tips and tricks!

My wedding venue wouldn’t allow rice to be thrown. Instead we handed out bubbles! Here are some great alternatives to throwing rice. They listed fireworks, but a safer alternative could be sparklers too.

Stumped on ideas for your photographer shotlist? Doing the same old pose with mom and dad, all the bridesmaids lined up, the entire wedding party, can be boring. Here is a gallery of creative wedding photo ideas. One of my bridesmaids has a sense of humor and photoshopped an explosion in the background of one of our bridal party photos. It was an immediate hit!

Remember how I encouraged every bride to hire a wedding planner? Here are five tips to help you find your planner. I think personality is really the most important factor when finding your wedding planner. You want to be able to have fun with, trust, and love what your planner is doing.

Spending money sucks but it’s a must when planning a wedding. Nothing is free and things can add up quickly. Hidden fees and additional costs are items your wedding planner will help you find, manage, or negotiate. Huffington Posts gives a great list of some that you should be aware of.
