On October 6th and 7th, Tech Cocktail Celebrate brought together hundreds of attendees, industry leaders and inspiring speakers.
These attendees attended the conference in Downtown Las Vegas at INSPIRE. Located at one of the most famous intersections in Vegas, INSPIRE is a one-of-a-kind community and event complex. Intimate, yet surprisingly expansive, its heart is the state-of-the art Inspire Theater. Designed to accommodate a wide variety of dynamic, idea-driven speaking and performance events, this theater was perfect for this small-scale production. We want to thank all the staff at INSPIRE for their amazing service throughout the event!
Tech Cocktail Celebrate’s agenda offered keynote talks, panel discussions, fireside chats, intimate breakout sessions, and a startup competition that created opportunities for collaboration and inspiration. All of the content has been summarized and can be found here.
On October 6th, startup leaders from across the country, including Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos and Downtown Project, David Cohen, Cofounder and Managing Partner of TechStars, Gabriella Draney, Cofounder and CEO of Tech Wildcatters, and Donna Harris, Cofounder of 1776, discussed the best practices they’ve experienced for building up a strong, vibrant, and successful entrepreneurial community. There were also incredible mentors throughout the day for attendees to meet with, which included investors, founders, industry professionals, and media. The National Startup Showcase Competition was during the evening at Place on 7th. The startups that qualified from across the country displayed their products, and competed for a spot in the final four to pitch in front of the conference audience the next day.
On October 7th, notable speakers like Ben Parr, Author of Captivology and Managing Partner of DominateFund, Charles Hudson, Partner of SoftTechVC, Jeff Hagins, Founder and CTO of SmartThings, and Jenn Lim, CEO and Chief Happiness Officer of Delivering Happiness, shared their big ideas about how they want to “put a dent in the universe” and the lessons that they’ve learned along the entrepreneurial road. The Hottest Showcasing Startup Pitch Finals occurred in the afternoon. Tech Cocktail announced the final four startups from the previous night’s national startup showcase. The finalists were Flat Out of Heels, HIS Energy, Popular Pays, and Waleteros. They pitched to judges and HIS Energy was crowned the nation’s hottest new startup, which included a $10,000 cash prize, and the Tech Cocktail Chalice.
Divine Events provided delicious catering for the event. Celebrate attendees enjoyed a variety of boxed lunches each day. We want to thank Divine Events for such amazing food and service and for keeping the Celebrate attendees happy and full.
Our friends at Walls360 once again made magic with their talented branding. They created and installed wall graphics throughout both INSPIRE and Place on 7th to bring life and color to Celebrate. We want to thank Walls360 for all their help leading up to and onsite the event.
