The Next Edge: Health Experience Summit
focused on patient care, where executives and leaders in the industry came together to discuss real world solutions to create engaging, inclusive and seamless experiences for the people that need care most in Philadelphia, PA on Tuesday, November 3 and Wednesday, November 4.
This was Reinventing Events’ first event in the healthcare industry. The interesting thing about this event was that it wasn’t your ordinary healthcare conference, a feeling not only our client, Next IT, felt, but its attendees had as well.
The Hilton Philadelphia Penn’s Landing, a beautiful waterfront property in downtown Philadelphia, was the setting for the Summit. Together with the Hilton’s catering team, we chose Fall themed meals and decor such as gourds and mums on the banquet tables for lunch and hot cider and cinnamon donuts at the break.
Speakers for the event ranged from patients to doctors. Amy Dixon, a sommelier, paratriathlete, wonder-woman who is 80 percent blind, but was 100 percent inspiring to hear from. Dr. Zubin Damania, Founder of Turntable Health in Las Vegas who closed the day out with a live performance of his EHR State of Mind parody.
The event closed with a reception where the client and attendees alike celebrated a new perspective on patient care and excitement for what’s to come in the industry.
Below is what each Reinventing Events team member enjoyed most about this production:
Karen Hartline, CEO, Las Vegas
It was great to work with Next IT to create their first conference experience. One of the speakers encourage Next IT to think about doing the event again as “they had something different than at other events.” That’s such a great compliment to hear, especially from a speaker who is frequently on the stage at other industry events.
Maeghan Gould, Event Producer, Boston
I loved getting a sense for how the RE team operates and works together. Everyone seems to work really well together and it really felt like a team effort to pull off such a great event! I’ve never actually used a speaker green room before, which I thought was a really helpful aspect to things running as smoothly as they did.
Maria Chalaire, Event Producer, Virginia Beach
I really enjoyed working with Next IT to produce Next Edge especially since it was the first time for me to work with a company in the healthcare industry. The personnel at this event were so nice and professional too.
Marie Scimeca, Event Producer, Milwaukee
What I enjoyed most about the Next Edge production was working with the client and speakers leading up to the event and onsite. During speaker calls we conduct, allowed me to I also loved the highlight video that our videographer, Searle Video, produced the day after the event. It really did a great job capturing the energy of this first time event for the client. The event location of Philadelphia was also one of my favorite parts–it is a great city!
